Riverview - Wildcats management have been extremely happy with the play of Adrien Plavsic so far this season. Plavsic a 6 year veteran in the ASHL has amassed 60 points in 68 games this season and is well on pace to pass his career best of 66 points in season 6.
The 2 time Norris trophy winner is well on his way to capturing his 3rd award as the league's best defenceman. Plasvic won the prestigous award in back-to-back seasons in season 5 and 6. At the early age of 28 and in his prime, Plavsic is definitly looking bound for the ASHL hall of fame.
"I just go out there and play, my teammates are great and our style fits mine. I can't complain." said the very quiet Plasvic. Asked why he is playing more offensively than in the past 2 seasons "We got a few new guys in here who know how to put the puck in the net, and that helps. We have adopted an offense first style and that will put numbers on the worst of players. The team has been very cautious on the defence as well, things are working and thats all that really matters" responded the humble defenceman.
Would he be traded? there were slight thoughts early in the season of trading Adrien for more younger players, but the GM of the Wildcats was quick to destroy that notion. "We would be absolutly stupid to even shop his hame around, he is the best defenceman in the league, you cant put a value on that" said the GM |
