Hello and welcome to Scotsmen Stats. Here we will discuss milestones, Scotsmen records, and other hard stats that our guys on the ice make happen on the ice. This isn’t about team rumors or trades; this is about accomplishments. Read on and enjoy.
On a team where most players have short stays, Darryl Shannon was the first to play his 500th game in a Scotsmen uniform. Shannon, acquired 5 seasons ago in exchange for Brian Leetch, has led the team’s defense in scoring and goals, and is tied for the single season record in +/- at 18. At 505 games, he has 21 more team games played then line mate Mike Modano.
Modano set huge markers this season, scoring his 200th team goal and his 250th team assists. The captain of the Scotsmen currently leads in team goals by 83, in assists by 56 and by team points by 156. He holds the team’s single season record for points at 90 and with 468 points will likely be the first player to score 500 points with the Scotsmen.
Tie Domi, fan favorite in South Esk, recently recorded his 1800th career hit. Domi, who has been with the team for a total of 5 seasons now, leads the entire league in hits and is 92 hits above 2nd place Brendan Shanahan. Domi is a restricted free agent this season with the Scotsmen. |
