One down, too many to go
Posted: 9/20/2004 By Happy Madison

Riverview - Free Agents.... thats the 2 words that are starting to put cringes up GM Jeff Nagle's neck these days. With a whole team full of them and non of them willing to negotiate, this upcoming season may be pretty rough for the team.

On a positive note, the Wildcats managed to secure a deal with free agent net minder Andre Racicot to a 1 year $2.5 million contract. This will ensure that there will be some form of consistancy on the team defence. As for the other big 3 (Mathieu Schneider, Bryan Fogarty and Claude Barthe) there appears to be nothing on the horizon. If the team can't secure at least one of these defencement, the immediate future looks bleak for the team.

"I am just trying to get through this process day-to-day, I am trying to find ways to get around all this and nothing seems to be working. There may be a changing of the guard in Riverview and in the ASHL. Our future looks bright on forward, but on defence.. I am scared" said the GM
