 Bathurst - The Titan annouced yet another key signing as 1st line center Jeremy Roenick signed a 5 year deal worth a total of 26 million dollars. Roenick will make 5 million a year and was given a million dollar bonus for signing this is a 4 million dollar a year raise for the 28 year old. So far this season Roenick has been a leader by example in his second stay in Bathurst he has accumulated 28 goals and 45 assists for a total of 73 points. Roenick is the only player left in Bathurst from an six player deal earlier in the season with Dungarvin. With this signing its looking like besides the draft the Titan have almost a full roster for next season and are only looking for a 7th defenceman to finish the roster. It is belived that owners were looking to cut salaries and Sullivan has done so the owners reportedly were looking to stay around the 55 million dollar mark and Sullivan has gone and done one better well actually about 10 million better as the teams curent projected payroll for next season is 45 million dollars, but that may not be enough for Sullivan look for him to move one of his centers either James Black or Joe Nieuwendyk in the off season. |
