Riverview - The Riverview Wildcats announced this morning the signing of right winger Pavel Bure. The 5 year $18.75 million deal ($3.75 million per year) will give the Wildcats some security at right wing. The deal also included a $3.75 million signing bonus.

"We weren't expected to sign Bure this early, but are very pleased to have him under contract for the next while. We will be monitoring his progress very closely over the next couple of seasons and hopefully he will shine." said Wildcats GM Jeff Nagle.

The signing of Bure brings questions on the future of fellow winger Rob Brown with the club. Inside sources had indicated that the Cats' were looking to shop Bure around and use the extra money to resign Brown. Obviously things have changed, and the Wildcats are gearing toward more of a youth aspect. Only time will tell what plan the Cats' actually follow.
