There are rumors that Sydney's head coach Pat Burns is stirring the pot with small changes in Sydney. He has been monitoring Dan Quinn for quite some time and he felt it was time to strip him of his "A" due to lack of leadership showed to his peers. Quinn would not comment to the press.
It was also mentioned that Mr. Burns was monitoring Scott Young's career and that he shows a lot more promise. It was a quick decision that Young was getting the "A" to see what leadership skill he would bring to the club and maybe turn things around.
As we all know, the Devils have been on a slump since the beginning of the season. This is mostly due to the 9 games missed by team captain Bobby Holik, which was causeed by a ruptured spleen injury. Coach Pat Burns and GM Dave Cormier are still hopeful that the team will turn around and make the playoffs as they where predicted at the beginning of this season.
