Moncton - Simply put this was one of the most competetive all star games on record. With both teams even with 32 shots each and the score only a 4-3 edging by the Campbell conference it simple was a barn burner.

With 15,000 fans on hand to witness the event, the crowd never let up on their cheers for the ASHL elite. Sydney's Jose Theodore started in net for the Whales all stars while Dungarvin's Marty Turco was between the pipes for the winning team. No team could hold the lead for long as both teams pretty much exchanged goals all night long. Krivokrasov opened the scoring at the 12:25 mark of the 1st period but only 6 minutes later the Campbell conference struck back with a quick wrister by Mike Comrie. The 1st period ended in a 1-1 tie with both teams only putting 10 pucks on net each.

During the 2nd period Peter Worrell broke the scoring open at the 5:41 mark but less than 6 minutes later Pavol Demitra of the Whales conference tied it back up. At the 14:02 mark of the 2nd the Campbell conference once again scored to take the lead with a goal by Steve Webb.

Only 8:02 into the 3rd the Whales once again clawed their way back into the game to tie things up with a scorcher of a slapshot by Mark Parrish. But that wasn't enough as 8 minutes later Tignish star Darren McCarty put the Campbell conference ahead for good with a nifty top corner shot that beat Theodore on the glove side.

Campbell conference all star Peter Worrell was awarded the games MVP. With 1 goal and 1 assist with a +2 rating and 4 shots he held a slight advantage in stats over teammate Steve Webb who also had 1 goal and 1 assist.
