Expansion Brewing

ASHL Press - The Hillsborough Giants and Halifax Citadels are in deep preparation of thier inaugural seasons. With the puck ready to drop in these 2 cities next season there is alot of work to be done, even if they have no players yet. Both stadiums are built and have the respective teams logos painted everywhere within them. GM/Owners John Nason and James Ashton can't wait to draft their teams, both with styles of their own it will be interesting to see what kind of teams they can build with the limited human resources allotted to them.

It will take alot of dedication and patience when it comes to being a fan of either of these teams as growing pains will be abundant. Both GMs have experience at running league teams but how long will it take before the rust wears off and they begin to draft and trade players who will both benefit the team enough to bring home a Stanley Cup.

One can only hope that as these first ever expansion teams to the ASHL hit the ice that their success will be measured in leaps and bounds and that they don't become major flops. If the quality of people who are taking over these teams is any measure, it won't be long before Halifax or Hillsborough are bringing home a championship or two.
