Signings Are Winding Down In Taintville

Its that time of the season again, where teams are tring to finish things up and sign all their free agents that they need to keep the team going another season. Negotiating almost on a daily basic, until finally they give in to the offer, demands are met, or bidding time. We manage to sign 5 of our free agents this season so far, still there are more to go, but time and price is off the essence.

First to sign early on in the season was Phil Magistrale, the 19 year old defenceman will be getting an increase of 1 million a season putting his contract at 1.5 million for the next 5 seasons. As well as Berret Jackmanwill be getting a raise as well and receiving 1.5 million over the next 5 years as well.

Another player to sign was the young goaltender Loic Lacasse, at the age of 19, he will now be making 750 thousand over the next 5 season, just a quarter of a million more then he was previously making. The other 19 year old player to sign a contract was Troy Brouwer, who was aquired from South Esk in a deal earlier in the season, will not be taking an increase, he just wants to play for half a million and thats all.

The biggest signing, well drop in salery atleast was the 24 year old back-up goalie, Sebastien Caron. From the previous contract of 5 million, he has taken a major paycut to just 1.5 million over the next 5 seasons. That deffinately helps out the payroll in manageing to keeping it done, where in most cases they increase, and sometimees by alot.

That would be an oversite of all the signings that has gone on this season. Keep in mind that we are not finished, and hoping to sign some key players to the team, to help keep from filling some key spots for the upcomming season. We will keep you posted for any upcomming news.
