Tornado's Season is Over

By don of the Taintville Tornadoes

The season is officially over for the Tornados, they had at least made the playoffs in the eight spot, but thats as far as they got. They were going up against a tough squad, the South-Esk Scotsman, who was first over all in thier conference. It would have been a nice upset if the Tornados would have faired much better, but the Tornados were stoped in the tracks majority of the time.

Taintville did manage to get 2 wins out of the 6 games. The only problem was they used all their fire-power up in one game, were they had crused the scotman 8-3, but just to get killed and taken to school the very next game and got shut-out 6-0. The Scotman outscored the Tornados 26 to 22, the outplayed them from the start of the series, Taintville couldn't get anything going for them.

Kozlov may have had 45 goals in the regular season, only ended up with 3 in the playoffsn and that was were he was held for points. Even Sergei Brylin, the teams leader in points was also heled back to just 5 points. The main scorers were all actually held back, the scotsman were really doing their part in shutting down the scorers. The only 2 players that actually got though was thrid line Scott Hartnell, leading the team with 7 points in 6 games and Alexander Selivanov, with 6 points in the 6 games. They were getting frustrated during the season, they were fallen behing on plays and would get caught and stop ped on other plays
During the regular season play, it was more eveningly matched Where they went 3-3-1 out of the 7 games played, but thats the best they could do. Once playoff time hit the scotman just crused right on though them.

Well all we can do now is hope we do better next season, and the young players gain some much needed experience, and sharpen up on the skills and talents. We also hope not to lose any of our veterens, as some are approuching retirement. Well thats all for now, i need to meet the guys out on the back nine.
