The 29 year old Yamamoto will step into a frustrated Royals team who have been sputtering of late, winning only four of their last 20 games. It is hoped that the pending UFA will resign with the Royals who are looking for more talent to surround the upcoming top prospects Dave Andreychuk and Luc Robitaille. However, if the team doesn't find its footing, it's a risk that the 29 year old walks away at the end of the season.
