It’s playoff time in the Loyalist City! It’s that time of year where all the hard work and effort put in by the players comes to a head and we really see which teams rise to be the cream of the crop. The unfortunate part of this is that over the past 10 seasons this was also the time that spelt heartbreak for Saint John Kings fans. It seems no matter how well this team performed during the long tumultuous season, good or bad the luck for the Kings would spoil like old milk. This year the team looks like they are on a mission, with strong leadership and recently finishing the season as the overall second seed.
Dorchester had the best record in the legue against Saint John this season beating the Kings 6 games to 2 on the year means Saint John is in for a real uphill battle to advance to the second round this year. When asked about the upcoming series, veteran winger Nikita Kucherov advised us "I am looking to add a third ring to my collection and if the road to get it runs through Dorchester, so be it, bring it on!"
With the Loyalist City all the edge of their seat, we will be looking forward to some great hockey. Over the next couple of days we will be publishing a couple of articles on how we got here this season.
